"Delirious" (feat. The Anix) is out now from independent multi-genre music label FiXT. Listen to the single below or use the link to connect in your favorite music streaming app.
The Fury Weekend project was created when Belarus-based Ars Nikonov chose to combine his love of classic rock, electronic music, and ‘80s culture into a forward-thinking music venture. The result is a dystopian synthwave sound that blends bright synth melodies and gritty guitar work into a singular music vision of the future.
The uniqueness of Fury Weekend should come as no surprise given the artist’s background, which involves ambitious projects ranging from industrial to post-rock. Diversant: 13, Cold in May, Martian Love, Seanine, and Tribal A.D. are some of the many names that fill Ars’ creative resume, and each of those has given the creator the experience and tools needed to make an impact with his retro-futuristic synthwave project.
The Anix is the alternative / electronic-rock project of Los Angeles artist/producer Brandon Smith. Known for pushing creative boundaries with his genre-blending mix of alternative rock with dark melancholic undertones drenched in an array of synthesizers, The Anix’s music has captured the attention of global editorial curators with prominent features across official playlists from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Yandex Music, and more. The Anix has received press support from outlets like Revolver, Substream, and Outburn magazines as well as features in TV and video game franchises including Call of Duty, Destiny, Mass Effect, and WWE.
Brandon has a deep connection with experimental fashion and has been active as a visual designer working with brands like Nike, Oakley, McLaren, Acura, and Acronym. As The Anix, he has built an ongoing partnership with DSPTCH, creating highly innovative Biothane® modular guitar straps, belts, and accessories which have been seen on Hypebeast, Uncreate, and Guitar World. He has fostered, over the past 15 years, a collaborative relationship with Fender, producing custom one-off Jaguars as a common weapon of choice found in The Anix’s music videos.
As a performer in the modern era, The Anix abandoned traditional touring and embraced digital live-streaming with a special
Live In Los Angeles digital event powered by Bandcamp in early 2022, with fans tuning in from across six continents. Since 2018, The Anix has released four full-length studio albums with the independent record label FiXT, including
Shadow_Movement,
Hologram,
GRAPHITE, and
REVENGE, with his new album
NIGHTVISION coming in 2023.
